I know this may offend some of you, but I can't stand "Christian" t-shirts, cause let me just tell you, I can see some kid wearing this to school and everybody falling over wanting Jesus, yea...NOT! It literally makes me sick when I see these t-shirts. It frustrates because I know people laugh at our attempt to be "culturally relevant" with design. Get off the "trend setting bus" and start loving the "hell" out of people with what you do, not what you wear. This has "avoid me" written all over it, not to mention the fact that it's "not easy". I welcome your feedback.

I'm with you 100% on this one. I'll admit, I'm one of the people making fun of the people wearing those t-shirts!! No one's going to take you serious while wearing that t-shirt and trying to share Christ.
You've got it though. Let our actions share Christ and what we broadcast with our clothes and mouth keep from distracting.
Haha! First off, the T-shirt is pretty corny if you ask me. I dont think I can consider anybody furreal if I see them with THAT on.
But, ya, I'm with it 100% bro. Cute shirt though!

The thing that i dislike about those shirts is that they can come off to others like you're a religious bigot. in the bible it says that you should praise God in the corner of your room quietly... i guess to the point where you feel that closeness to him. those who go out to the market and start preaching the word and are all high and mighty do not really portray what a true follower in Christ would do.
The problem with christians in Highschool is we're over-run and there are way to many people riding the fence. Never choosing sides, because they don't care. It's pathetic, pittyful (sp?).
Now days it's drinking, drugs, and one of the worst yet SEX! and they're all wearing those cheesy shirts.
I believe if you wanna be taken seriously, if you wanna preach to people, and have them believe what you say and not laugh to your face, then don't be scared to put on a dress shirt, and take a shower, not just a physical one but one for purity, one for there soul..
It's frusterating.
Keith,
Your old youth minister must have taught you well. Let your life do the talking not your clothes. Would Jesus have worn a WWJD t-shirt?

I could not disagree with all of you any more. It seems as if you have let the cynical world few of what a Christian is distort your thinking. Should we hide the fact that we are Christians for the fear that we may fall short of the glory of God and someone else may see? That in itself is the essence of being a Christian…..Saved....Not Perfect….Only Forgiven. To openly criticize another person for the clothing that he or she wears is not at all a Christ like attitude. You act like anyone that chooses to wear a Christian T-shirt must be perfect. If that were so then we must also need to be perfect to sport a Christian bumper sticker or a Jesus fish on our vehicles. Maybe we should only carry a Bible if we are found to be perfect. Better yet why don’t we only let perfect people into our Church buildings?
As Christians we should spend so much more time encouraging others and not talking or blogging about their clothes. Some of us should try harder to find the JOY that is in knowing we are truly Saved by that blood of Jesus. If you are living within that JOY then these t-shirts may not bug you so much.
I agree with Keith, let your actions speak louder than any t-shirt you could buy! I think that Christians should wear whatever they want, however I think that some of the Christain t-shirts are over the top. I think that a more subtle approach is more approachable and inviting. I disagree with the statement that implies not liking these shirts equals cynicism. I don't think that I am cynical just because I do not really like over the top Christian t-shirts. They do fall in the category of trendy and I think that faith should be anything but trendy. I would hate to see our youth just "buying" into Christianity and not really bringing God into their hearts and then look back on that part of their youth as a "phase" or something to that effect.
No one is saying you shouldn't wear a Christian t-shirt if that so pleases you. I believe the point some of us are trying to make is that people should know you are a Christian no matter what you wear. It should be your life, and actions that draw people to Christ. People should have no problem telling that there is something different about a Christian. That they are and alien living in a foreign land. I personally don't like some of these shirts, but that is not a statement against anyone who wears them. However one of the few things that outwardly angered Christ was people trying to make a profit from religion.
Many problems with this. I'll focus on the one that bothers me the most. Besides just being ridiculous, this is another example of Christians following instead of leading. This isn't creative, this is a copy. It's already been done. This isn't reclaiming culture for Christ, this is using existing culture as a springboard into ridicule. Christians should be at the top of all their fields--doing everything as unto the Lord. If you're a banker, be the best one you can be for God's Glory. If you're a musician, produce music which quality stands up in any arena (Christian or otherwise). Don't get me started about that. And if you're a T-shirt company, by all means be creative. Be counter-cultural. Don't 'bite' what's already out there--blow minds by doing something amazing--as unto the Lord.
